Looking at my Youtube history, one song I'm coming back to is "Utviklingssang" by Carla Bley. And while Steve Swallow is going pretty much the opposite direction compared to me, I still admire him a lot as well:

A real gem of a concert ❤ thanks for posting this !
I must say each one of those three guys has been a huge influence on the world of jazz guitar but Charlie Byrd is such a monstror óÔ
Im currently in love with jazz bassist Esperanza Spalding . Her vocals are amazing.

Today is my "listening to Tommy Bolin day" day.
He played on the 1973 Billy Cobham Album "Spetrum", and is featured on 4 songs, although the whole album is super cool.
Listen to the album here
or on spotify https://open.spotify.com/album/5JmNk3ayVaujKO5hFvU5YA?si=0U1qnl8OSEyIJ7WkOPJpvA
Info about the album: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spectrum_(Billy_Cobham_album)
If you don't have time to listen to the whole album then try either the first song "Quadrant 4" or the last song "Red Baron"
Have fun :)

Very cool Ron ... I have to go back even further to the original format where they are all playing Mosrite instruments. I like how the bass cuts through, even back then with the pick and the Mosrite tone. Seems surreal now with the black and white footage.

Yeah man that is a great and pleasant tune. My older guitar playing brother who is in his 70's grew up playing a lot of the Venture's tunes ... and got me to learn a lot of the bass lines when I was first getting into bass, this one included (memories) Walk, don't run!! (at the start of the vid) hehe... nice Gary! :)

Tony MacAlpine has been among the long time favorites I listen and learn from.Tony is joined by Jeff Loomis for an amazing jam. Hate to disturb the funk and jive always people. But you did ask what are you listening to. lol:W
