What are you listening to?
Not much of an Extreme fan but i really like this album. The raw production is just great. Kind of Led Zeppelin meets Van Halen meets Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against The Machine with some grunge vibe too maybe. I know some Extreme fans don't like it because of that 90s alternative feel but to me it's their best album. And listen to the guitar solo on this cool track, it is excellent :W

I was listening to a love song (unrequited) lately:

based upon another one which was equally genius:

And Horace wrote that song for his father while visiting his friend Flora Purim in Brazil as far as I know... and yes, that's young Billy Cobham on drums...

Here's an old classic. Mitchie (my wife) loves the series, we all love the instrument and the iconic main theme:

This song sounds like the best night you ever had...
The album was recorded in a garage.

¡Feliz cumpleaños Cande!

The lyrics to that song, together with translations are:
"I am the fire that burns your skin,
Soy el fuego que arde tu piel
I am the water that kills your thirst.
soy el agua que mata tu sed.
Of the castle, I am the tower,
El castillo, la torre yo soy
the sword that guards the treasure.
la espada que guarda el caudal.
You, the air that I breathe,
tu el aire que respiro yo
and the light of the moon on the sea.
y la luz de la luna en el mar.
The throat that longs to be choked
La garganta que ansio mojar
that I’m afraid I’ll drown in love.
que temo ahogar de amor.
And which desires you are going to give me.
y cuales deseos me vas a dar
just to look is treasure enough,
mi tesoro basta con mirarlo,
it will be yours, it will be yours.
tuyo será, y tuyo será."

One of the very early fusion songs. Timeless. Love the dynamics in this tune.

Been listening to a lot of Jethro Tull lately. This is a super cool track from a somewhat overlooked album, 'Rock Island', released in 1989. Not their best but a pretty good one to my ears. I like it better than 'Thick as a Brick'... I know, it's weird, never been a fan of that album.
