I (male, born 1971) can't sing, but since I want to (and because of my instinctive hunger for nice conversation), I've got to play guitar in my leisure time. Because for me this is quite similar to singing, so I accept this as an alternative
I am living in Ulm (South Germany), working as a software engineer, using a spanish nylon guitar made by Antonio Rubén, a Fender Mexico Stratocaster, a Kala KA-BFT Butterfly Tenor Ukulele Bocote, and a Kawai ES 100 Stage piano.
In a few weeks I hopefully will own an Gibson L-00 Studio, to get in touch with more western style steelstring acoustic playing.
Intricacy is my enemy, so I've abandoned Cubase Software 2019-08 and switched to pure Linux + Audacity + Zoom H6 recorder with built-in XY microphone. I love the simplicity of audacity and Zoom H6 overdubbing. The toolchain is now lot smaller, and I've more fun now with doing recordings.
Personally I like the studies of U.G. Krishnamurti and Jordan B. Peterson and say a big thank you to Alphabet/Youtube for that I am able to watch their valuable interviews and talks.
Here on Wikiloops, the openness, friendliness, the millions of possible ways to collaborate, I like most! A big thank You to all collaborators and the founder and developer, Dick.
