I must believe there is a plan...

freedom is in my mind
not something I can find
or win by shedding blood
which soaks the dollar
justifiably by some
who prosper off of the slums
propelling poverty and guns
into the minds of little ones

but there are precious few
immune to faulty views
there perspectives are only brightened more
by what our evolution has in store
this can’t be what we’re created for
i know we’re meant for more

if you are into fighting wars
you’re never getting my support
i came to live and to explore
not live in fear with deadbolt locks on every door

can humans be a peaceful race?
this question finds tear my face
i must believe there is plan
beyond my understanding
of some divine creation
of inspired intention
