Sunny Walk
Thanks for posting HD's Mario ;) I joined you and Marceys for a Sunny Walk. For this recording I used a pair of matched Octava MK012 microphones (ORTF) I borrowed. What do you think? B)

Great drum track WhiteDrums! :W <3 you got that Latin and fusion blend essential to this kind of music, I appreciate a drummer who is able to stay balanced between his/her own energy and the arrangements requirements. Of course there is a matter or personal preferences. One name that is always present as an extraordinary example an influence to me in the Brazilian/Latin wave, samba, bossa and related, is the great drummer Kiko Freitas (Brazil).
His playins is amazing, authentic and unique,It seems to be connected to the essence of samba and Brazilian rhythms like a fish in water, maintaining the roots respect in every time. Videos con Joao Bosco band are incredible. However I think this Batera Clube Jam Session is a jewel for any drummer looking "the secret" behind Brazilian rhythms. :W:Y

Thanks Carlos! As your excellent ears detect, my latin influence has been more driven by big-band drummers, with the exception of Tito Puente and Airto Moreira who I greatly admire. I appreciate your advise and suggestions. It would be fun to put together a Kiko Freitas inspired jam :D

I am Sorry maybe I wrongly assuming you dont know Kiko, because you play so well over Latin "vibes" .
Here with a awesome simplicity expose clearly the essential play "feel" on samba and batucada/fast bossa in a authentic link to "escolas" roots. Amazing! I hope you enjoy it. :Y:W

Sounds great Mark. I love the way you kick into the sections. It gives it a really live cohesive feel. I’m not normally keen on putting two versions down of the same basic template but this is kind of pushing me that way. Excellent playing. Musicianship all round.
