mpointon Very cool template, WD! Nice groove - laid-back and a great, natural sound. I'd be interested in the tool you used too!
One question: your stereo image suggests you're left-handed - hi-hat to the left, ride to the right? I don't remember you being left-handed in the videos?+1

WhiteDrum55 The tool is a plugin called Auto-Align. You pick the track to reference to (the overhead mic) and then you can align all of the close mics to it. +1

WhiteDrum55 It will also align to a stereo image. So for this track I used a stereo mix of the ORTF (L/R) overheads as the reference and it seemed to work well. +1

mpointon I've played around with the ORTF layout - classic '70s setup, I think. But you have very distinct stereo separation on your cymbals so I'm impressed you achieved that with a close-mic overhead setup.
Awesome sound either way! +1

WhiteDrum55 Good ear! The stereo image is slightly skewed because the overheads are align at a slight angle over my left shoulder and centered right over the snare. Cheers Martin! :) +0
