Big thanks to Alex for sharing his beautiful improvisation - I've spent the past days listening to that and trying things on the upright.
Today, this is what I ended up with as my 7th+ take, no editing. When mixing, I wished I could have tweaked the levels of the melodic saxes a little, but that just on a side note.

Seems like you two (three?) are the only ones who understand a seven beat track. Really pissed me off to hear most of the others ignoring the possibilities in this.

Not really pissed off...I should really be more diplomatic!!! Just really appreciated the 7 beat being fully embraced. It's a tough one and since the downbeat was not particularly strong was easy to ignore leaving it to go round and round. I still like what you did but get much more of a kick out of hearing that creative 7 beat at work...it tickles the grey stuff.
