He was a no good man.
If he wasn't caring a gun,
He had a needle in his hand.

Spent all the family money
With fake jobs he never had
He was always leaving
He was just no good just bad

But I loved my papa
The only one I knew
His life so full of heartache

He was always making promises
That he would change his ways,
Laying around the house,
In a booze or drugged haze.

Always going out on my mama,
A woman in every town,
They were never wise to him,
In the ways he played around.

But I loved my papa

Believing all his stories,
A charming man was he,
They always gave him money,
To fuel his gambling spree.

His nights were spent a ramblin’
He always spun a web,
A charmer behind closed doors,
Promises made in the bed.
