Water all around me
I’m drowning in my shoes
It’s dripping from the ceiling
This battle I’m gonna lose

If I don’t patch this problem
I’m gonna have to move

It’s coming from the pipes above
Through no fault of my own
I see the puddles on the floor
Need a boat to get around

If I don’t patch this problem,
Yeah these pipes will make an awful sound

These pipes they say
Are forty years
If they’ve seen a day
They call them galvanized
But I think they’re paper mache

If I don’t patch this problem,
I won’t be able to stay

They’re crusty at the corners
They bleed a rusty hue
In fact it’s on my counters
And in my bathtub too

If I don’t patch this problem,
Maybe I could move in with you?

I’m hoping that the landlord
Will see my side of things
I’m hoping that he’ll cut a check
What’s that, the doorbell rings

Is he hear to fix my problem?
No, this eviction notice stings…
