The Contract
V1: The devil sat in my kitchen,

Drinking a cup of my tea.

He said; “Come on in, sit right down

You’ve nothing to fear from me”.


“I’ve got you an offer

I know you can’t ignore.

You give me your mortal soul

I’ll give you so much more”.

Don’t waste your time with me.

My soul belongs to Jesus Christ.

His love has set me free”


“You can promise anything in the world,

But you can’t outbid The Lord.

My soul is much too precious,

It’s a price you can’t afford”

Placed some paper in my hand.

“It’s a standard contract.

It’s easy to understand”.


“You can have everything.

The whole world, yours, for free.

Put your name on the dotted line

And sell your soul to me”.
