Big Bear
I’ve added sax to this fabulous track. There’s room for others I’m sure. Thanks to the guys for creating such a funky vibe. Thanks for listening if you have time.

TeeGee Interesting!! How do you use it for recording? What do you connect where, i.e microphone, speaker, DAW, etc? +1

Blazer Hi TG. The chain is quite simple. I use a Sennheiser E908B wireless mic. From there to an MXR 10 band eq pedal. After that it’s the Spectrum through to a couple of other filter pedals (bypassed or not) I like the signal to the Filters to be strong and if it’s too much I can temper it with a Keeley pro compressor which is next in the chain then to various pedals such as the Pitchfactor. After that through a Radial Pro DI (passive) to a Tascam iXr audio interface then to my iPad Pro and into Cubasis. Thereafter it’s a question of applying compression and reverb plugins. Maybe a bit of Eventide Micropitch if required 😎 I like to keep things simple and uncomplicated as I know I could use a lot more gear but at the moment I’m happy with the results so if it’s not broken……😊 +0

TeeGee Wow, doe not get any simpler than that ;) . Comforting to hear that not just us guitarists are suffering from acute Pedalitis :P . I used to play my guitar through a multieffect, then I changed and got myself a pedal board and several pedals, but got bored with it and changed it for a Roland GR 55 multi-effect/synthesizer that can do most of the things that the pedals do, and in addition has all the stuff you have in a DAW. The reason for that is that I like to play while hearing all the effects, I find it better than adding stuff afterwards (other than compression and things like that). At the end of the day, what a great hobby we have, eh? So many toys for the boys :W +1

Blazer I do hear everything in real time. The fx are all as I hear them when recording. Which makes the filters so cool because as a saxophonist to hear the attack progress the note from the w to the ahh allows me to time the note. It’s auto so I’m not shaping with my foot obviously. So basically what I hear at the point or recording is everything. I don’t add fx afterwards. +0

TeeGee Ah, I see - that#s ! I also use cubase 10, but I find that when I use the effects of it while recording in my monitor, it sounds a bit strange, so I stopped using it. +1

Blazer I use Cubasis2 but I’m sure the difference has nothing to do with any odd sounds you were hearing😃 +1
