It's Always the Fall

Its always the fall that lifts you back up again
its easy to hurt these days
we start to take shape when we are in pieces
inside of me inside of you
like walking in old shoes
cold and wet from holes that have worn in
one step at a time
cheek to the ground looking up to see where you were
but you never think where you are is where you're going

its always the fall that lifts you back up
into the world that threw you down
facing into the wind
the bitter cold

the sun wull always rise and melt the snow
we learn from falling
we take from it and learn
its better to fall and gain that never to fall at all
