I drive quite well when you’re not in the car.
Somehow I get there though I know it’s far.
I see the signs that you say I don’t see.
I find my way, why can’t you let me be?

I play my music cruising down the street.
You like Chopin, but that puts me to sleep.
I need my tunes to keep me wide awake,
So I don’t end up driving in the lake.

I move too slowly but that works for me.
The right lane is just where I’d like to be.
I hate lane changes, yes my pace is slow.
It takes me longer but that’s the way I go.

If you’re driving, I just let you be.
I look outside and gaze upon a tree.
Although you swear and pass each pokey car,
You know I love you just the way you are…
