you know not too long ago
on a very hot Fresno day...
you ever walk down the street and it's so hot
your shoes are sticking to the ground?
i'm talking that kind of hot.
i was on my way to get an ice cold cup of coffee,
on my way, i kept seeing little bits and pieces of clothes.
it was about 105 that day, weather man said it "felt like 107".
i'm not sure i understand what that exactly means.
because if it feels like 107, it damn sure is 107.
so i came upon a pair of pants just laying there in the street,
half on the curb, half on the street, and i said "why damn!".
it's so damn hot here you got no choice but to just take off them hot pants.

well, it's so damn hot in here, i need to take off all my clothes.
so so hot up in here, the road be sticking to my shoes.
i got them hot pant blues, yeah yeah.
them sticky sticky icky wicky hot pant blues.
yeah, making me strip down for you.
a sock over here, a shoe right there...my hot pant blues.

just about now, starting to feel a little dizzy here.
this heat be getting to my head.
making me see visions.
i got my shirt all dipped in water, just trying to cool down.
but my legs be on fire.
i got no chance, i got no chance at all.
and when the heat comes for you, you need to be ready, for that
sticky icky wicky hot pant blues.
that heat be coming for you.
