Bit out of my comfort zone here as I’m not really a jazzer but I thought I’d have a go at adding some additional electric piano and synth lead lines to this great template from Mario and Pete Hope it’s not too painful a listen !

Good to hear you on this. Not being a "jazzer" can definitely be refreshing rather than a handicap. Too often the "jazzers" keep playing their well worn riffs and arpeggios in a cut and paste fashion. This is refreshing and original!

Thanks for that compliment. Sometimes I hear something in my head I’d like to play but my fingers just don’t get the message cause it’s in a foreign language to them .What I’m saying basically is that to be me and communicate effectively musically I need to learn some different languages :D:)

This is a topic that may have different realities for pianists than for players who can only play one note at a time (sax). A sax is like singing. If you are one with your instrument you should be able to play whatever you could sing. There are pianists who can play what they hear, but the harmonies may not be very complex? My father was a Jazz pianist from the 1920s-30s and could play in full arrangement a tune you would hum to him (in the same key). The problem was that the "arrangement" was mostly similar.
