A woman I love has finally gone, and there's something I've understood

You see that woman was my auntie, and that woman was my mother too
And that woman was my dear departed ones and your departed ones too
She's gone, they've gone, they're no longer out there, but they're right here in the hearts of me and you.

Her body has ceased to function, she breathed her last breath yesterday
Our dearly departed one's bodies are gone and their souls have flown away
They've flown right into heaven, and heaven is here in our hearts today

My dear old Auntie Beryl was 98, almost 99
She lived a healthy simple life and she was so nice and kind
Now her soul has flown to heaven. I can feel her singing and dancing in this heart of mine
