Using the festive period to read up on what I missed this year. Found out that Dwight Twilley passed away in October. He was one of the power pop greats and also a great example of a massive talent that underachieved due to bad luck with his record companies. Read it up, it's an interesting story. Here he is with Tom Petty on bass.

Only just heard that Tony Clarkin passed away on January 7th. A founding member of Magnum he was a pillar of great song writing with his guitar playing always recognizable without being repetitive - and that over a 50 year career.
I had the pleasure of meeting him and Bob Catley at the Rock The Coast festival in Malaga, Spain in 2019 for a little chat as we were staying at the same hotel. Must try to find the pics.
