Using the festive period to read up on what I missed this year. Found out that Dwight Twilley passed away in October. He was one of the power pop greats and also a great example of a massive talent that underachieved due to bad luck with his record companies. Read it up, it's an interesting story. Only just heard that Tony Clarkin passed away on January 7th. A founding member of Magnum he was a pillar of great song writing with his guitar playing always recognizable without being repetitive - and that over a 50 year career.
I had the pleasure of meeting him and Bob Catley at the Rock The Coast festival in Malaga, Spain in 2019 for a little chat as we were staying at the same hotel. Must try to find the pics.
