WHITEPONGO was the name of a Heavy Metal band I was in years ago.

The original name is a 1945 American film directed by Sam Newfield called "White Pongo". It is a film about a great albino ape that lives in the Congo.

I think you may have just killed the thread WP - I can't compete with that! Mine is pretty simple - I'm an _enthusiast_ when it comes to grooves. Unfortunately the site has 10-letter limit on user names so now 'Enth' has become a thing in its own right. Which I quite like to be honest.... :)

Love this thread. Gwailo translates to "white ghost" in Cantonese dialect (I have lived in Malaysia for nearly 30 years) and "ah" is a catch all noise to underline the end of a sentence. I think. So when my Chinese work colleagues and bar buddies wanted to get my attention, it is "Ay, gwailoah, why so slow drink ah you?" I used it for my email address and it stuck.

What a great thread.
I get a lot of comments on mine-have ever since the WHO days. However, the name Keith Moon was given to me back in 1953 by two Sinatra fans-my parents. So it is just my first initial and last name.
The 235 part goes back over 40 years when my wife and I were first dating. She asked me how many other women I had been with and I said she'd be number 235 (of course I was only kidding her). However, 235 became her forever nickname between the 2 of us. Said she didn't mind it as long she never runs into someone nicknamed 236.
