Hello all - there are many things I need to learn about; here are a few :-
Re MESSAGES : What does the closed envelope on left mean ?
What if the envelope has an arrow ?

Some dialogue boxes are grey, some are white - why ?

Re SHOUTBOX : That seems to be for use only by moderators ?

Re NEWSFEED : My News Feed has become unmanageable ! I have hesitated to delete anything in case I miss something I should acknowledge/reply to. Is there a way of clearing all ? Is there a preferred way to manage Newsfeed ?

Hi there Graeme, I'll try to answer your questions the best I can.
1. Re messages - the closed envelope on the left means you haven't replied to that particular message yet.If the envelope has an arrow it means you have replied.
2. Dialogue boxes - the grey box is message IN to you and the white box is message OUT from you.
3.Re-Shoutbox - anyone can use the shoutbox, sometimes I am in there a lot welcoming people or answering questions with the other Mods but do please say hi or ask a question in there whenever you like :)
4. Newsfeed - There are different options in the newfeed
a. show all news chronologically
b. feedback on my tracks only
c. friends uploads only
d. show my recent activity
You can click on the one which you would prefer to see shown.

Hi Graeme if you start to follow many people then you will get quite a lot of tracks appearing in your newsfeed.
I follow a few and its great that they don't upload at the same time lol..
As Shi said the shout box is for anyone to say hello.
