No, please, what "forum name" do you want to change? Your user name being displayed on the forum, like zedders => forumzedders?
Renaming the "open mic at the blue iguana" forum?
Renaming a thread title like "forum name change"?

Thank you for your reply Dick. I should have been more clear, apologies, I do not like being "zedders". I'm not sure what I would like my user name to be but I can think about that if you say it's possible to change it, without disassociating myself from uploads already made. If my user name could "magically" change everywhere it has appeared that would be perfect. Is that possible?

yes, that is possible, if the name is changed, it will change anywhere on wikiloops, including posts/comments/uploads from the past, but not including the mp3 tags of past uploads, now that I think about it.

I use another friendly forum where the witty owner would have immediately changed my user name to "Is this possible?" and refused to change it back for years afterwards. lol

the main issue about changing usernames is that folks forget they requested a username change and try to log in with their previous username, which won't work any longer.
We could have pulled the "is this possible?" gag off, but MrZedders wouldn't have been able to "enjoy" it for the log in's reason...
