Hi, you Loopers! A technical note: If I listen to an upload (e.g. #305877) directly to Wikiloops, then download the file and play the same file on my Macbook via Apple Music using the same speakers, then I notice that I like the sound on the Wikiloops player much better - more transparent, a little fatter. The bass sounds much better here. The settings on the internal Apple Music EQ do not bring any significant improvement either. I've noticed this before, but I don't know is it just my old Marshall damaged ears or do you feel the same way?

Hey Ray :)
What is played back on wikiloops and what you download is exactly the same mp3 file, so, if you notice a difference, then it must be due to what happens on your machine.
Depending on your settings, Apple Music and your Browser are sending their audio on separate buses towards the outputs, and if they are set to different volume levels, that alone can make a different impression.
Then there might be "smart" enhancers / normalizers in play that boost audio coming from the browser and don't do that on audio coming from other software.
Good luck on the hunt ;)

Maybe it's just a bit louder?

A great site to improve my piano backing skills. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to become a better player. Nice work Wikiloops!
