For all of you wondering why you are not able to post to the forums yet :

to keep away spam bots and people eager to abuse the forum to advertise,
there is a very simple but working mechanism at work here :)

First of all, you need to be a wikiloops member for at least 24hours before you can start new threads or post to the forums. Neither spam-bots nor people who register here with the purpose to advertise some phantastic product have the nerve to wait that long, so that works quite well.

Second, since we noticed spam bots don't listen to any music and never ever leave a friendly comment or "thumbs up" rating on tracks they like (naughty critters they are!),
you need to prove you are a real person and worthy of contributing to the forums by giving a single "thumbs up"-rating on some track before being allowed to post here.

Please keep up the good habit of giving "thumbs", for you, its only a click, but to the one who took the time to record a track for your jamming delight, its very nice to get that kind of feedback and to be reminded people really apreciate what one did!

Enjoy your time on wikiloops & welcome in :)

you have to at least give a genre and a title or it won't give you the publish now button

When you say you can't figure out how to add a track, do you mean to get it to upload, or the actual process of doing a track and adding it to one from the loops?

Guys, it is very sweet of you, but looking at the date of saramas' post, I'm almost sure he'll have found out in the meantime ;)
To all new members ending up here and wondering how all this works, I can really only recommnd a visit to the wikiloops knowledge base sometime, there is a wealth of quite well organized help articles out there (man, that was a lot of work) which cover pretty much anything you'll need to know :)
