Dancing outside the old Roxy Cinema, you know that she's one of a kind.
With her Bambi wide eyes,oh lord have you seen 'em
they get to me every time.
Urban decay and this girl's gone astray
and she's waiting for rescue too long.
She's totally mad and she's certainly crazed
always keep playing her song.
They said she was a pure work of art, but then nobody kept in touch.
Her whole life right there in a shopping cart, no no , don't amount to much.
The music is loud but it's all in her head, and hell, she ain't wearing no shoes,
The street is her stage and the pavement's her bed
She used to be somebody's Muse.
A bottle or two of cheap wine that will do
instead of a cover tonight.
She will dream in the dark, on that bench in the park
Oh honey please turn out the light.
