Blue and Gold

i have built walls around my heart
these walls of stone, and earthen clay
i have wrapped veils upon my face
to blind my eyes, from light of day
in the dark, flickering sparks
in pavement cracks, abundant sprouts
and i breathe in
and i breath out

i have carved stories in my flesh
lest i forget, the earth is wet
i have brewed storms within the walls
around my heart, inside my mind
in silent calm, i hear her call
the color green, and lightening falls
and in breathe in
and i breath out

my skin is blue, my eyes are gold
my soul expands in spiraled groves
though body aches, the spirit knows
all that there is, to ever know
intelligent, deliberate
perfection in the heart of us
