Good note choices and solidly played. It's like your playing a countermelody in bass, yet there isn't another melodic voice. That makes seem a little "busy". Maybe someone else will join in and compliment what you did? +1

When possible I like to support the rhythm with melody.

If songs are not too much faster and there're quite large pauses it's even easier :) +1
