its getting harder and harder to find a gig for a band
i hope my music friends all understand
i don't hold a degree in virusology

in Longview the Reo has been holding it down
the usual suspects jamming with cats from across town
but a bluesman like me should be putting on a show
that's gonna be hard to do since all the damn clubs are closed

Kilgore's machine shed worked for me
saw my old friends and they partied with me
but i heard they were replaced by karaoke
restrictions have stopped all the shows
