Seasons

I know Spring seems far away but it will be here soon
the days are getting longer
we can make it through
the leaves on the trees will be green and the flowers will bloom
they'll be butterflies and dragonflies and hummingbirds too

the seasons are like love forever changing
sometimes the dun shines sometimes its cold and raining
whether its winter or spring summer of fall and day of the year I am yours

the daffodils will bring the first splash of colour
theyll be pussy willow and hazel catkins and snowdrops in flower
the honey bees will buzz around the dandelions
and down by our pond the little peeper frogs will sound their chorus

The ice will melt along with our winter blues
we'll put away our hats and gloves and our winter boots
we'll step outside into the sun feel the warmth on our skin
we can make it through winter and feel alive again
