Walking across the grove
I can feel the groove
Of a feeling that once was love
As if I had something to prove
Walking across the city
I lose my mind and concentration
About what used to be
And what was just imagination

Past flies away
And you wonder if things really happened
Year after month after week after month after day
What you get is what you learn
Sometimes you can delay
The consequence of ignorance
But if you try to run away
Don't count upon a second chance

Philosophical questions
Wander inside my confused mind
Floating like a thought balloon
I meditate 'bout human kind
Metaphoric thinking
Developing hidden connections
Synthesising truth and dreams
Into a wild and crazy reflection

When you realise things have changed
Feel like lost in a pinball machine
If your head's about to blow up
And you're ready to pop a fuse
That's exactly when you need to cool off
Take your time and get together
For what you really need is
To get back into the groove
