Carry the mission boy
The pastor said to me
For the Lord is justice
I tell ya every week
Ignore your inhibitions
The devil’s at your door
You made a broken promise
When you were here before

I’ll go and light a candle
For the sandals on your feet
You can satisfy the holy crowd
When you fall down on the street

It’s all crosses and bristles
Where you’re bound to go
There’s a place for you on Cavalry
Eleven faces in a row
Go on, get in line
You’re gonna be right here for quite some time
Carry the mission and the light will take you home

I know the shadows grow
But there’s one thing you’ve forgotten
Roads are never walked alone
So take it all in stride
All your demons are barely alive

I said without second thought
