i'm waiting at the still point
and trying to reach back to my youth
there ain't no clock up on the mantle
to give this empty life some proof

feeling left out in the cold
not sure what i'm supposed to do

living long enough to realize
how many things i got so wrong
sleeping in the night tossing, turning
trying to find a star to pin some wishes on
