I’m not sure why
But I saw in your eyes
A shining light
That drew me inside

And since that day
I recall that night
when I saw your face
in the pale moonlight

The wind picked up
The branches swayed
The secret words
Of beauty you spake

You reached inside
And touched my heart
And you pulled it out
So I could have a new start

That’s the way that we do it these days
Replace the old tired out pieces
And you’ll get a new heart
You’ll get a fresh start
But you’re no longer human

In the age of relativism
There are no boundaries
To keep your head together
But you’ll live a long time
You’ll live a long time
In a time and age of decadent behavior

I’m not sure why
Help me in this age of treason
To keep my sanity
