Taking care of my mother,
Here we go again
Navigating with one another
Until we get to the end,

You know she ain't much trouble
She just sits in there and stares,
“Let’s Make a Deal,” or karaoke,
Yeah she doesn't care

She's my mother,
Wouldn't trade her for another
At 83 she's still my friend


Try to make the best of this
Dealing with her day to day
Comb her hair and give a kiss
Wouldn't have it any other way

And even though she don't say much
I see love in her eyes
Not sure what she's thinking
But in her heart she's wise

At 83 she's getting on,
Heading toward that final song
Wish she weren't in such a haze
