Pin me down,

Invite your friends to stay.
I am just a vessel
For your inebriated play.

It doesn’t matter
Who I am,
Tall, short, fat thin,
Soon you’ll feel better
As you zip and walk away.

It was all fun
You will say to one another,
So what if something
Was slipped into my drink

That day
I had a coming
So you’ll say,
I shouldn’t have dressed that way. 

Afterwards
You will slither away
Into the hot moist night,
The echo of your friends’ laughter
Chasing your back,

As the pack of you
Swells and retracts,
Disappearing into alleys and windows,

Only to start your day again,
Headed for rooms with professors,
Who will pave the way for
Your future.

And so it goes
For those who do not
Have to be accountable
For what they do.

Even in the dark
