Another beer

i know its been about a year
i just cant handle this alone
guess ill have another beer
im still waitin by the phone

nothing on tv but the news
they all say its gettin bad
guess ill just sit here with my blues
its the best night i ever had

at least i have a few friends
smith n wesson n jack
been here before to make amends
only this time i wont be comin back

still no call on the phone
i suppose its for the best
one last drink for me alone
only one way out of this mess

look in the mirror what do i see
cracks and lines and pain
somebody else looking back at me
time flys when your in the rain

someone once told me it takes a lot of guts
to pull that trigger like a pro
then i guess i must be nuts
