A wonderful inventive template from our "Filo ultra créatif". Lots of influences with my interloping as though there's a fit...ha! No matter...very enjoyable. Free form rhythms and exotic modes always are a draw. Having fun with countermelodies and polyrhythmic phrases. Sopranino comes in at 0:52.

You're never boring Wade <3 I've never heard you play the same way twice <3 its like a new instrument each time <3<3<3 +2
Wade
Wade Often it is a different instrument! Good to keep you guessing? Each template is different and that's one of the things I love about being here. We climb on board with all the wonderful musicians and see if it's possible to fit within their musical vision. +1

DirkL 😂 . Often it IS a different instrument. That’s funny as hell! I am sorry I missed this but it found me in a vulnerable moment. My ears were primed. This wiggled it’s way into my ear with it’s Arabian charm. 3:55 was like Zorro showing up and saying oh yeah slash slash my sandy friends! Get a load of this scale I bring you from over that way! VERY clever Wade! The playful delivery was also notable +1

Wade It's so appreciated to have "deep listeners". When we can have images and stories come to us through instrumental music it's a gift of hearing and a massive compliment to those who are attempting to create that atmosphere, story, or emotion. +1

wow, this sounds really cool Wade. has like a spanish/latin/eastern feel at times, like it could be snake charmer at times, then in the ring with a matador, then tripping in the forest to some mushrooms :o:D ...so amazing the journey this takes one on :o:W +2
Wade
Wade All credit to Filo for the wonderful template that sets the mood and mode. It's a very African/Moorish feel that is also part of the Andalusian (southern Spain) culture. So glad you like it! +1
DirkL
DirkL Bingo on the shifting Arabian/Latin feel +1
Stef
The perfect template for you! That exotic and minimalist flavor opens up a whole world to the floating of your sopranino. Fantastic! +2
Wade
Wade Excellent observation! Filo's single voice and exotic flavours are perfect for me. So glad you and others have appreciated this. Thanks so much Stef. +1
ROBJOL

Wade
Wade A strange yet lovely mix of styles from Filo's imaginative mind. Good fun for me to pretend I know how and where it's going... Ha! +0

Oh boy, what an add! +1
Wade
Wade Quite minimal compared to yours, but a different concept. Thanks for the listen and comment. Much appreciated! +0

Simply wonderful Wade!! The dialogue is free but in a certain way combined, the sopranino provides a melodic sense... I like it!!;)<3 +1
Wade
Wade Thanks Mario! The mode and mood are certainly African and north African influenced so similar to Andalusian. And you know that's something I'm very drawn toward! +1
PaulM44
Wade, you have the hometown advantage hearing more of this kind of music I suspect. What a great ear for how to add in! <3 +1
Wade
Wade It's just a matter of trying to be "under the skin" of the other player(s). I want to be within what they are doing and not be just bringing along whatever "my thing" is to sit on top of it. Does that make sense? It can be like trying to talk to someone speaking a different language. Trying can make a difference rather than expecting everyone to speak our language. Fortunately we have a limited number of notes so it's less difficult. +0

This creates such a joyful atmosphere <3 +1
