I spent 2 weeks on holiday at a Brunello Agriturismo vineyard near Montalcino in September (1990's). At the end our visit the whole of Montalcino smelled amazing and I learned the Chingiali that had been eating the ripe grapes were now being severed in a rich stew in most of the restaurants in town. It is amazing! Montalcino has coat-of-arms placards imbedded in the brick walls of the 4 local Contrade where they have influence. Flute and EWI ...
