Such an evocative track from Soul fingers! Sax plays up to 1:55 then comes in again at 2:44 to the end. Nice bit of room in between for you to join in.

Wade Cheers titi! You crack me up with your visions of my playing... yea... softly creeping around... and you'd better hold tight to your wallet, Rolex and girlfriend! +1

GlezBass
Unmistakable sound and style! I like the duet! It fits perfectly! <3;) +1
Wade
Wade Thanks Mario. Big compliment to say I have a recognizable style. I've never wanted to be a "tribute player" although most sax players are encouraged to try and sound like some "great player". Why not sound like ourselves? +0
Kinook
Wow.. This Sax, which in the Mix "seems to be playing from the other room", is simply wonderful!!:D +1
Wade
Wade Wish I knew what "playing from the other room meant"... oh well just very glad if you like it! +0
Kinook
Kinook Ok.. you put the sax to the side in the mix. Yet he is the one who is singing, and usually the singer is in the foreground. Instead here it's as if he were singing "in another room" and the reverb effect is beautiful. It's not easy to get this so clean.:) +1
Wade
Wade I'm terrible at the engineering side of things and was told by a good producer/mixer here to always be slightly to one side... so I do that. The stereo effect is just a second track with a little more or less volume and taking off a few MS. Totally basic... and probably all wrong! I have an OK microphone and play pretty close to it then add reverb and/or delay... but usually not too much unless the template calls for it to match.

I'd be happy to get some clues, as long as there are no acronyms and the explanation is geared towards a technophobe pushing 80 years old... Ha!

Such a cool swingin walk Wade! Listening to this made my morning ;) <3 +1
Wade
Wade 100% due to your fine template. Perfect for me to have a little stroll. My favorite thing is to play with just one other instrument and you've made this more than possible. Thanks to you! +2
SoulFingers
SoulFingers Thanks to you, and total agreement! Small jazz combos have a very unique vibe. No complicated arrangements necessary, less work. Just play and enjoy ;):) +2
