I fell asleep in church dreaming of the night before,
While the preacher keeps on preachin’, I’m slippin’ through the door.
my old lady pokin’ me, I just can\'t help but say,
Lord, I’m dozin’, don’t wake me up today.

It was a long night at work, I clocked out just past two,
Thought I\'d sneak in the back to catch a few
my old lady gave me hell as i fell a sleep
in a spell this sunday I fell asleep

Sitting near the back row, my head started to lean
Those potluck dinners, Lord, how the fried chicken smellen so good
But here I am in silence, just using this him book as my pillow
this sunday I fell asleep
