It used to be that Tyros just produced keyboard tracks in which it was possible to add drums and bass (although not necessarily wanted). For a little while he posted tracks that seemed to invite others to join in. However in this track it seems he's back to not wanting any adds (adding his own bass and drums). You joined in anyway and did well... wanted or not.
No doubt Tyros is a great player, even if he's boxed himself into a very small jazz niche. Wikiloops is primarily about taking advantage of what everyone has to offer, such as expanding one's "repertoire" and adding to other's tracks. We develop as musicians through those having those interactions.
Wikiloops is a musician's playground of opportunities that you fully embrace in such a positive way. Hopefully Tyros will eventually embrace those opportunities. +1

You're right, my friend! We've known Luis for a while now, and he's matured a lot as a musician... now he's a professional (as you can see on YouTube). In his early days, he was a "non-stop" musician, playing throughout the entire jam, but he's evolved and now gives space to soloists and uploads versions without bass or drums, like he did here. There's room for a soloist in the yellow zone, but you have to be daring to keep up with him. Sometimes, like a fool, I jump in as a soloist during his jams.
In this type of Latin jazz session with percussion, it's easier to jump in as a drummer... it's a pleasure because few musicians create such high-quality versions for others, especially when they're professional and altruistic. I met him in person, just like to you, and he's an excellent musician and very shy, but a really good person! +2
