The Bunny

I’ve been rocking myself to sleep <br/>Hear the ticking of the clock behind me<br/>I’ve tried counting sheep <br/>I’m the shepherd waiting for them to find me <br/>Sitting still in the corner of my enclosure <br/>As the children pay their fair <br/>I’ve closed myself off to the open world<br/>There’s a bunny in a chair <br/>(How do you know it’s not a hare?)<br/>It’s so fluffy I want to touch it <br/>(Because there’s no greyhound chasing it)<br/>And stroke its white fur coat <br/>But I’m locked in my asylum <br/>On the titanic of sinking ships<br/>It’s hoping around on grass outside <br/>I close my eyes and try to hide <br/>They have not a care in the world <br/>Breeding innocence into the world <br/>And it seems kind of funny<br/>But I say fu*k the bunny<br/>It’s our little secret <br/>I won’t tell anybody<br/><br/>I’ve ripped its little head<br/>And tore out its throat<br/>Eaten it’s leg, I heard it beg <br/>Its skin would look nice on a coat <br/>I’ve seen the colour red<br/>Its eyes glazed over dead <br/>Doesn’t know what hit him<br/>I’d do it again<br/>Why, oh why, oh why<br/>You scream in tears why?<br/>Because it doesn’t look like me, it doesn’t act like me, it doesn’t <br/>And I threw it up<br/>It doesn’t agree with me<br/>I’ll grind its bones <br/>I’ll consume it whole <br/>And it seems kind of funny<br/>But I say fu*k the bunny<br/><br/>
