petebass What guitar is this Frenz? great sound +0
frenzie
frenzie It is a Washburn hb35 hollow body I used a tube screamer into a lightly dirty tube amp and mid on 10 bass and treble low I usually play with a pick but now tried fingers to get that tone and dynamics I was a bit lucky lately my amp started to sound this nice :) +2
petebass
petebass Its a super sound bro, you want to remember the set up for future jams, I'v not tried using my amp into my DAW, I usually just play through effects pedals,I will have to experiment:);) +1
Ernie440
Ernie440 Mic'ing the amp sounds a lot different than playing direct into a DAW .. I have a 20 dollar microphone that I use somedays .. I like it, I can jam with the stereo speakers blasting and my bass amp cranked and no hot headphones on my ears .. the freedom is nice .. there is bleed onto the bass track though, but .. so what eh! +1
petebass
petebass that sounds a cool way of doing it,my prob would be frightening the crap out of my neighbours Ha!! :) Have you tried playing into amp then lead out of headphone socket into inteface,I might try this should get the amp sound but not the noise, cheers Puds:) +1
frenzie
frenzie I would not recommend the amp straight into the daw if you cannot make the oise then better go straight from guitar into the DAW with some kind of speakersimulator but you dont have to play loud :) I do get noise from the monitor in my signal but its only audible if I dont play in the soft parts of the song :) +1
petebass
petebass Cheers bro, that tip will probably have saved me frying my amp ,computer or me Ha!! +1
Ernie440
Ernie440 Yes, I have a direct out on my amp .. I have done this and will again but the xlr cable is cheap and noisy that i have .. got to get a better one!! Then there's no bleed .. exactly. +1
frenzie
frenzie for tone try to tune in E-B-G-B-E and use a capo that makes the guitar ring! :) +1
Ernie440
Ernie440 Man Albert Collins sure liked his capo .. master of the Telecaster ... +3
