Slow Dancing

A long time ago -so, the story is told
was a little boy and a little girl - who acted so bold
they went to the dance floor - and they took a chance
Holding each other tight - they slowly danced.

Then some years later - in a home with 4 kids
he still loved her - like he always did
and they would slip off - when the kids were asleep

They'd go to the kitchen - and they'd take the chance
Holding each other tight - they slowly danced.


My Grandparents - are gone now
They have both - gone away
but, I think of them
each and everyday
But, I know up in heaven
they'll take the chance
of holding each other tight
as they slowly dance
