Wednesday 22st May ..... Musicians Anagrams ?
The forums struggle a bit at the Loops. I'm aware that many members read them but probably don't commit to posting.
My 'music making' doesn't take up as much time as most of you here but I still like to stay involved. Circumstances will be keeping me at home for a while. I just wondered if any of you want more ideas and activities outside of music ! If not I'll probably back off :)
For the wikiloopers who have lots of time and nothing better to do :)
1) Name 3 musical instruments that that contain the letter X
2) What is the "Amen Break" ?
3) Who designed the Red Special ?
4) Which instrument has 47 strings ?
5) Which instrument is longer than 5 meters
6) What is the highest note ever sung
7) What does 'Moby Dick', 'Pat's Delight' and 'Over the top' have in common ?
8) Name 3 Blind pianists
9) When was Europe's largest music retailer founded ?
10) What World record does Jayen Varma hold
*** This one is all solved now :W ***

I was thinking a didgeridoo was the 5 meter instrument and John Bonham for the Moby Dick etc.
I feel like I'm challenging Mr Rootshell mostly when I dream up these questions, thanks Nick .... and I'm not really a music brainio. I'm happy to start things off in the forum but It would be good for someone else to have a go. People like challenges but who can think of questions where Google wouldn't be able to help ?
ps I've removed my songwriter video question, It was too much to ask but thanks if you watched.

I got no time, at work, but for you I will do my quickest best ;)
And just so y'all know: I did not read any other posts or answers, and I DID NOT GOOGLE!! All mistakes are purely from my sick mind :D
1) Name 3 musical instruments that that contain the letter X
Saxophone, Xylophone, Ibanez X-Guitar
2) What is the "Amen Break" ?
This is when you finished praying, you say "Amen" and then there is a short break of reflection before you get up to continue doing mundane every day things.
3) Who designed the Red Special ?
Mao Zedong during the cultural revolution wanted to have a guitar that had none of the old western capitalistic elements. So they designed a guitar that had three necks, 4 pickups, frets tuned to Oriental scales and it would blast out terrific red chords at ear piercing volume.
4) Which instrument has 47 strings ?
a Zither (yes it's an Instrument, I even held one in my hands once)
5) Which instrument is longer than 5 meters
Alp horns
6) What is the highest note ever sung
The high C
7) What does 'Moby Dick', 'Pat's Delight' and 'Over the top' have in common ?
No idea. I read Moby Dick, and lisened to the Zeppelin song, that's it.
8) Name 3 Blind pianists
Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Lil' "Blind" Johnson
9) When was Europe's largest music retailer founded ?
1989
10) What World record does Jayen Varma hold
Fastest person to run down a 1 km hill while playing "oh when the saints" on a trumpet without missing a beat

You're sending me in a poetic direction now TG :_
If quizzes make your brain cells frazzle
Try a spritz of Razzle dazzle
It will give you more pizzazz
To deal with all that razzmatazz
But if your biz is doing quizzes
Cuz you get a buzz that fizzes
Put your Jazz hands in the air
And waltz about without a care
Soz :)

LINKED BY A TITLE? The challenge for the weekend is to find a well known song that has a title like one of your own and compare it.
The background to this idea happened when I got 400 plays the first day I uploaded a YouTube, this was puzzling and unexpected, so I googled and sure enough LeAnn Rimes was shown at the side of MY video so people must have thought she was me :0
(I removed the links)
*** Now go and find a big name whose title may lead listeners to your video :) ***

...Music therapy is a practice of care, help, support or rehabilitation which consists of caring for people with communication and/or relationship difficulties. There are different music therapy techniques, adapted to the populations concerned: psychoaffective disorders, social or behavioral difficulties, sensory, physical or neurological disorders. Music therapy is based on the close links between the constituent elements of music and the history of the subject. She uses sound and/or musical mediation to open or restore communication and expression within the relationship in the verbal and/or non-verbal register.

I support wikiloops because it's a great way for musicians around the world to share ideas and not have their egos kill each other. Thanks.
