Biography
At 18 I picked up bassplaying. As there was no youtube and internet in those days, yes I'm also that old, I learned playing by myself by listening to radio and my records. At 23 after serving my number as a drummer in one of the military marching bands I joined my first band. Played my share in blues, rock, dance-classics formations first locally but later throughout the country. As a regular visitor of "jam"-sessions where mostly songs are covered I became a regular fill-in for several bands. After some medical intervenience in 2019 Wikiloops nowadays is my main musical playing-ground.
Instrumente
I mostly play on my custom-build Rikkers and way too little on my fretless Yamaha BB5000-AF. Both 5 stringers are strung with Optima Gold strings. Due to health reasons I've sold my big rig and my electric upright, but in case I need amplification there's still a TC Electronic RH450 amp with a RS112 and a RS210 and even smaller a little BG250 combo with 2x8"speakers which acts as monitor when recording.
