Biography

I'm Ivan and I'm an English bloke living in the Scottish Borders and working in Edinburgh. I have a sax-itch which I scratch by trying to improve on tone and technique and by playing in pub bands. I'm always on the look out for somewhere to stick my horn

Wikiloops is a tremendous resource for practice, collaboration and experimentation and I have been made to feel very welcome from the word go; thanks one and all

Instrumente

Saxophones:

Tenor is the voice I want most, but alto sax plays more eagerly when I pick it up. I'm not confident that I know my way around baritone and I am on politely nodding terms with soprano; but we aren't friends

Tenor: Sequoia horn, Morgan Fry and Jody Jazz mouthpieces, Légère synthetic reeds

Baritone: Bauhaus horn, Pillinger and PPT mouthpieces, Légère reeds

Alto: Yamaha 82-ZA, Pillinger MB mouthpiece, Légère reeds
