This time I've replaced my low E string on the Stratocaster by an "0.54 Elixir Optiweb" string. I've read on the internet, that many people using strats having the problem (as me), that their low E string sounds kind of dull/dead and low gain/volume on especially the pickup switch at position 5 (neck only). Somebody told me, that replacing the original 0.42 by an 0.54 would improve, and my feeling is, that I've got 15% more "Wumms!" on that string ...
