What if you knew
About the road ahead
So filled with potholes
Perhaps you’d dread

Taking a journey
With a trunk full of load
A tank that’s on empty
On a bumpy road

No map to follow
And stars that are dark
Can’t find our way
The future so stark

Will traffic snarl
As it faces toward you
Headlights blaring
Turning purples blue

Ahead we encounter
A small cul-de-sac
We’re running in circles
No way to get back

Should we go the distance
Or get out of the car
To go our separate ways
Not knowing how far

Should we take our chances
In this beaten up truck
Perhaps try to fix it
And then turn our luck

Turn down the speed
On a quick crash and burn
Our motor’s still running
Though we skid every turn

It’s a heavy load……
