Ashes

Out of the ashes comes a phoenix
Rising up to start again
A new journey is just beginning
Not like the last but who can tell

Is history going to repeat its self
If so what will it bring
Are we taking another step
Another step closer to hell on earth
Will we be shot down in flames
Once again reduced to ashes

I don’t know what to expect do you
Pretty sure there is a clue or two

Take time to retrace your steps
Hear the past reminding you

Here we might go down that path again
That’s been travelled well before

We’ve got to stop and take a look in the mirror
And see reflections of the past getting nearer
