Time was, when every morning brought a chance for me to start my brain
Time was, when every night I knew I'd wake to live again
But time has not been kind to me
It showed me doors, but not the key
It kept me waiting endlessly, somehow
Where has time gone now ?

Time was, when my ambitions were the spark that lit my fire
Time was, I had no limit to the strength of my desire
But time has not been kind at all
It caged me in behind a wall,
and lift me waiting for the call, and how
Where has time gone now ?

Time passed me by, I didn't see it coming
It snook right past when I was most distracted
Time passed me by and left me idly strumming
about a string of dreams I've now retracted
Where has time gone now ?
