Now what was I looking for?
I looked here and I looked there, I must have looked everywhere
I looked till I could look no more but then I forgot what I was looking for.

Behind the sofa, under the mat
In every pocket, it was probably small and flat
I asked around, had anyone seen or found it
I must have opened every drawer but then I forgot what I was looking for.

I looked up and I looked down
I think it was blue but it could have been brown
When did I see it last, I wish I could find it fast

Inside the oven, in the refridgerator
So tired of looking, maybe I\'ll look later
